Earlier this month, International Focus hosted an IVLP program with individuals from the Near East and North Africa, specifically, Algeria, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Oman, Saudi Arabia and Sudan. The group’s topic was “Social Media: Creatively Connecting Communities.” The group met with an array of local professionals from universities, nonprofit organizations, and city government. One afternoon included a roundtable discussion mediated by one of WNCN’s news anchors. A highlight of the group’s stay was their home hospitalities. IF families graciously opened their homes to our delegation, with one visitor saying that their evening with the family was the “best” part of their time in Raleigh, according to the visitor’s host Claudia Williams. Thank you to all of IF’s wonderful host families!
