Description:
Hidden No More will bring to the U.S 42 women in STEM from around the world to advocate for gender equality and build a global network supporting women and girls in STEM. Inspired by the film Hidden Figures, the Hidden No More exchange program is part of the International Visitor Leadership Program through the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.
Inspired by screenings of the award-winning film Hidden Figures at more than 120 U.S. Embassies and Consulates worldwide in 2017, this annual exchange program highlights and develops the important contributions of women and girls in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). For three weeks, the participants will travel across the United States to meet with their U.S. counterparts to discuss STEM-related topics and policies, sharing of best practices for fostering “hidden talent,” and examining ways to inspire the next generation of women in STEM.
